In April of 2023, world renowned photographer and documentarian Jason Lanier asked me to be his assistant on a shoot in the ruins of the abandoned Jazzland/ Six Flags New Orleans theme park.

The job expanded over time. Jason became the Chief Archival Photographer for E. Ross Studios and the Park. I became the Assistant Archival Photographer on the Jazzland Project. For the last eighteen months and beyond, we set out to document Jazzland as it stood and its demolition.

What we accomplished was no less than the preservation of an important piece of New Orleans history.
